It was nice seeing voices going along with the people we're reading about and even though we know the story is true, the tragedy and remorse of it all seems much more prominent when you actually see the members of the family speaking out. The fact that they saw HeLa cells as an example of the giving nature of their mother and that they didn't seem as angry as one would expect makes it even more upsetting that they never received any financial compensation.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was reading about their lives in the book, I wanted to see more of interviews. That's why I made the youtube search to how they were reacting once they saw the cells.
Thank you for posting this Kashfia! It definitely put the book into a more personal perspective by being able to hear and see some of the family members. I agree with the fact that they should make a Lacks Wing!
